    PSIC issued bailalble warrants under Section 18(3) of the RTI Act, 2005 against Sarpanch and Secretary, Panchayat


    Theorders of the PSIC are as below:

    CCNo. 1543 of 2011

    Thecontinuous absence of the PIO and failure to furnish the information despite adirection from the Commission amounts to willful denial of the documentsrequested by the information-seeker. I,therefore, consider it a fit case to issue bailalble warrants under Section18(3) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 against Shri Gurmail Singh,Sarpanch, Village Panchayat Andianwali, Block Budhlada, District Mansa and alsoagainst Shri Lal Singh, Secretary, Panchayat, Andainwali, Block Budhalada,District Mansa. They shall appear and produce the relevant record before theCommission on the next date of hearing so that copies of the documentsrequested by the information-seeker could be furnished after inspection by the Commission.

    ThePIO and the Public Authority shall also comply with the orders of the Ld.SIC-Mrs. Ravi Singh and deposit the penalty amount and pay the compensation amountbefore the next date of hearing.
    Acopy of the order shall be endorsed to the Senior Superintendent of Police,Mansa with the direction to serve the bailable warrants on Shri Gurmail Singh,Sarpanch, Village Panchayat Andianwali, Block Budhlada, District Mansa and alsoagainst Shri Lal Singh, Secretary, Panchayat, Andainwali, Block Budhalada,District Mansa.
