    After carefully considering the facts of the case and the submissions made before us, we are of the view that the CPIO should not have returned the application fee or the RTI application. The rules prescribed by the Government of India include the Indian Postal Order as one of the various ways of depositing the application fee. Therefore, as long as an information seeker deposits the fee by way of Indian Postal Order in the name of the Accounts Officer, it should be accepted without any protest.
