Information regarding Institute of Banking Personnel Selection

Dear All,

Now that the CIC has finally brought IBPS under the purview of RTI Act 2005. Just want to know how should I go ahead in framing RTI so that we get a clarity on their exam process, cut off criteria and basis of these cut off etc.

We have an apprehension that there is something wrong in their entire process of advertising, deciding cut offs and then finally sharing the list of respective banks.

Can you please give the link to the CICs decision where it has declared IBPS to be a public authority under the RTI Act 2005 ?
Or upload the decision in this thread ?

Final CIC .pdf is the latest ruling given by CIC and second .pdf is what CIC said couple of years back.

Based on the above you can go ahead and file the RTI application directly with IBPS.

First decide what is the information you want and what will you do with the information once you get it. The answers will help you draft a good RTI application.

I understand that.

Our concern is to find out following -
Why did the recruitment process of nationalized bank transferred to IBPS. I mean the rationale behind that exercise.
Is their any cost saving by banks by using IBPS and not RRBs.
How cutoff for a particular exam is decided.
Is their any provision of wait-listing candidates like other exams.

Above are the points we would like to get answered by IBPS.

Pls suggest.
