Kindly Reply at the earliest Sir,
These days bank recruitments are being done by Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection(IBPS). It was formed in 1975 and conducted bank recruitment for few years. After that it stopped recruiting for reasons unknown to me. Again from last year it has started recruiting bank aspirants, guaranteeing that this method is very helpful and fast as it mainly is concerned with the recruitment process. But till date, only one bank has declared its result and as a whole, this process seems to be built around the concept of earning as much money from the public as possible(This is not my personal belief). In this process, the main problem is that of multiple selection. 1 candidate gets selected in many of the banks as a result of which other candidates do not get a chance for interview. I wanted to file an RTI in this regard to ask reasons to curb multiple selections. But to my surprise, I did not get any RTI column on IBPS website(ibps.in). When asked my friends, they told RTI cannot be filed against IBPS. Kindy help in this regard. What type of organisation is this? It is earning crores of money from public and we cannot file an RTI?
Thanking in anticipation
Fahad

Your post has been merged with another thread on the same subject topic.
Please read the full thread above and also all the links given in the posts.
You can put your RTI application in a envelope and then send the envelope to the Managing Director of IBPS with a covering letter requesting him to forward to the PIO since no details are available on the website.

Re: IBPS is a Public Authority under RTI
You will send an RTI application to the IBPS address and addressing the same to Central public information and post the application by Regd post ack due. Either, the CPIO will acknowldge the letter or return the cover as refused. I f the cover is returned with refused, then you can again file compalint to the cic, Delhi. The IBPS was declared as public authority by CIC in my case.the relative File No.CIC/SM/C/2010/000655 dated 13.01.2012. Dont make delay. File the application and wait for thirty days. If information not received, file first appeal of IBPS.
