Petitioner filed a suit in the Mumbai High Court seeking direction for declaring the appointment of CIC and IC's as ad-hoc and temporary. He wanted that an impartial sub-committee assist the selection committee in the selection process.High Court refused to intervene saying that the the RTI Act did not provide for this and doing so would mean enactment of law, which the court cannot do. It can only interpret the law.
