DAV College Trust and Managemnet Society is a Public Authority
Applicant asked for records under RTI from DAV College Trust and Management Society. DAV refused arguing that it is not a PA. State CIC ordered release of information. DAV files writ in Punjab-Haryana High Court to invalidate the state CIC order.The court noted that DAV recieved 95% of its budget from government agencies. Therefore DAV is a PA as defined under RTI.(Synopsis provided by our member Satish Gupta)
