Vadodara, June 14: HAVING demanded the details of water map and city contour map to be made public in the wake of pre-monsoon work in the city, environment activist Rohit Prajapati has now filed an application seeking details under the Right to Information (RTI) Act from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation authorities.

Filing an application on Wednesday, Prajapati said, ``A contour map of the city/state is very crucial for proper scientific town planning. As per our understanding of road, societies, garden or any other construction must be base on the contour map of the area.’’ Activists have long been arguing that recent public civic work in the city is not in sync with the natural contour details of the city. A contour map is also crucial to the plan and to maintain various water bodies including lakes, rivers and ravines of Vishwamitri river, they say.

Prajapati has sought details of all lakes, Vishawamitri ravines, storm water drainages and their present status within the civic limits.
