How to frame an RTI question
my servants daughter is a student of TY B.Com at Bedekar College, Thane
and is an OBC-Kumhar Caste.
Her school leaving certificate after Class X wrongly spelled her caste as "KUNDHAR"
instaed of "KUMHAR". She got admission to Junior College i.e Class XI.
It came to her notice when she passed Class XII and joined F.Y. B.Com. Immediately
she approached the College office which showed her the School Leaving Certificate
mentioning her OBC Caste as KUNDAR. She approached the School, who admitted their
mistake and issued a letter saying the same. The College also helped and wrote to the
Dy.Director of Education, Mumbai ; requesting him to pass an order to rectify the
caste from KUNDHAR to KUMHAR. But, almost 2 years have passed they are refusing to
take action saying that since the candidate should have done the rectification before
passing Class XII.
Can someone guide/help in this matter as the poor student is suffering because
of the School's mistake in spelling her caste.

Re: How to frame an RTI question
Has she (or you) sent written reminders to that office which is supposed to issue the correction ?Sponsorer
If yes, then follow the suggestion in this blog:
http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/...ding-govt.html
=================
She can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?
Her RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for Maharashtra.
These are available in the Guide section of the Portal: RTI Guide
Please read the other articles in the Guide section as well as the links given in the FAQ here: RTI FAQ
These will be of help to you during the RTI process.
