History of postings of IRS officers to be disclosed under RTI
The CIC has ruled that history of postings of IRS officers have to be disclosed under RTI.
The public authority said that they are designing a software for this purpose and CIC directed that once the software is ready, all information regarding postings of IRS officers will be put up on CIC website.
Having heard the respondent and perused the relevant documents, the CPIO is
hereby directed to provide an opportunity to the appellant for inspection of relevant
documents, except personal information of other officers, on a mutually convenient date
and time, within two weeks of the receipt of this order and provide whatever information
required by the appellant, on payment of requisite fees. After completing the process of
compiling information in software about posting of IRS Officers, the respondents are
advised to put this information on their website.
