Compensation of Rs 5000 for not accepting IPO as fee
The CIC has ordered Central Bank of India to compensate an applicant Rs. 5000 since his IPO was not accepted by the PIO as application fee.
The PIO had shown a circular of the Bank where it was stated that only Cash, DD and Bankers Cheque can be accepted. Therefore penalty was not imposed on him.
