MoEF appreciates and acknowledges that because of undersigned RTI's application, improvements are being made in the delivery of information .
MoEF appreciates and acknowledges that because of undersigned RTI's application, improvements are being made in the delivery of information to RTI applicants(others).
In the order numberDecision No. CIC/SG/A/2012/001159/19077,Appeal No. CIC/SG/A/2012/001159, the Hon'ble CIC records the appreciation of MoEF in improving the implementation of RTI Act because of undersigned RTI application which were aimed to streamline the system at MoEF. The excerpts of the CIC decision is given below:

Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:
The following were present
Appellant: Mr. Harinder Dhingra;
Respondent: Mr. A. C. Ojha, PIO & US (RTI);
The Respondent has provided certain information which shows that the appellant’s representation has
been treated as similar to another letter. And it has been stated that action has been taken against the other
letter. It has been stated that the action has been taken vide another file of circular copy no. 6/1/2010-RC
dated 12/01/2012. The Appellant states that in that case he should be given the file notings of that file.
The Respondent states that because of the RTI application of the Appellant improvements are being made in the delivery of information to appellants. The Commission appreciates this approach where RTI applicants and public authorities work together to make improvements in governance.
Decision:
The Appeal is allowed.
The PIO is directed to provide the file notings as directed above to the Appellant before 05 June 2012.
This decision is announced in open chamber.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
Any information in compliance with this Order will be provided free of cost as per Section 7(6) of RTI Act.
