Rti helpful in registration department

Hi Friends,

I filed a RTI application with registration department to get the information and documents registered in a particular person's name. Without knowing the S.F.No,Area of the land, Document No, Year of registration, Seller and purchaser details one could not get the details from registration department.

Since, I know only the purchaser address and the registrar office limit under which the lands are purchased, based on the details the application under RTI filed to get the copy documents. As usual the PIO given misleading information's against all my questions. I filed a first appeal before District Registrar, the district registrar directed the PIO (sub-registrar) to provide the information's and immediately the the PIO took all the copy documents and handed over to me.

If you are common man you can not get the documents without knowing the S.F.No,Document No., etc., etc., Because of RTI this success is possible
