    In how many days should CIC act on a second appeal?

    Friends,
    How many days can the Central Information Commission take to reply to a second appeal?

    A second appeal dated 10th May 2012 against the denial of information by UGC authorities was delivered to CIC on 14th May 2012!

    Yet to get any response from CIC!

    Is this proper? Kindly advice.

    The act is silent there is no time limit mentioned in the act for cic/sic

    Depending on the Commissioner (and your luck !) who is going to hear the matter, it will take anything between 6 months to 2 years for the matter to come up for hearing. A month or so before the hearing you will get a notice of hearing.

    No will be no other communication from the CIC.

    my appeal to cic is pending for the past 2 years; many complaints and rti are filed no response what to be done
