Did I Filed RTI Correctly For Passport?

Hi,

I'm a resident of Hyderabad. After reading a lot about rti and its use in this forum i decided to file rti for my passport application. My passport has not been dispatched from long now.

Here are the steps that I have taken to File RTI for my Passport. Please tell me whether I have done it correctly or do I need to redo it.

Step1 ownload The FORM From

http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/...ssport.pdf.pdf

Step2: Filled it according to my details

Step3: Attached my Passport application cash receipt and print out of the status of my application from their website (Indian Passport, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India)

Step4: Took an envelope and dumped all these stuff into it and wrote Hyderabad's PRO address on it.

Step5: Went to GPO, Abids Hyderabad and there were three counters at ground floor I gave my Envelop to one of those guy and he took Rs 12 from me and gave me a receipt.

I do not know but in step5 i think I made mistake. Firstly I didn't mention the Indian Post Number# in my RTI Letter. Secondly, that guy at counter didn't let me look at the Indian Post NO# instead he said, once the envelope is given to him he will not return it back to me, he just pasted the Indian Post Receipt and dumped in the tray.

Is that a mistake?

Thanks for your help.
