    Regarding Sewage Truck

    HI,

    Iam staying at Perumbakkam. It comes under village panchayat. I would like to know, whether I can raise RTI for this and whom to raise it.

    We are not having the drainage connection. We are taking 1 truck sewage water from our appartment everyday. And they are charging Rs.1200 for each truck. It varies in near by places like Sholinganallur-Rs.900, Medavakkam -Rs1000 like that. I would like to know how are they deciding this Amount.
    Another lorry from the near by place is not coming to my location for Rs900 and they says that its a tender and they will not come to Perumbakkam.

    I would like to know, Who decides which lorry to take on which location.
    If it is tender, How much is the amount decided for Perumbakkam.
    what is the tender duration(how many years)?
    when the current tender ends for that lorry at Perumbakkam

    I am new to this Forum and guide me with this,I dont know how to form questions please assist me weather question 1 to 4 is ok or not with your suggestion

    Thanks,
    Priya Rajesh

    Is the sewage collection truck supplied by the same municipality or panchayat to different areas

    OR

    Is that different municipalities/panchats send sewage trucks to different villages

    If it is the same authority, just file a RTI application to the PIO (Public Information Officer) of that authority and ask for:

    "Inspection of all files related to tendering of sewage trucks for collection of sewage from..........."

    You can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?

    Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for Tamil Nadu.
    These are available in the Guide section of the Portal: RTI Guide

    Please read the other articles in the Guide section as well as the links given in the FAQ here: RTI FAQ

    These will be of help to you during the RTI process.

    Please also read:

    Time limits specified in the RTI Act - Guide
    How to submit a RTI Application - Guide

    ========
    They will call you for inspection and when you inspect the file , matters will be clear and you will know what is happening and also know what further RTI applications to be filed.

    If they are different authorities, I suggest just stick to the authority in charge of your area.

    =========

    But this is a temporary solution. You need to find a permanent solution of having sewage pipeline to the main sewage line.
