My Family Pension from Employees provident Fund organisation was settled w.e.f. Nov 2003 only in August 2008. The delay was due to the department and not due to me. In fact i have all records, letters sent thru Regd. post, letters written to grievance cells, central PF commissioner etc.. Now I received the arrears from Nov 2003 till August 2008. They have not paid any interest. As mentioned in EPFO web site Employees pension Scheme 1995 Sl.No.17A in page No.27 of 52 a penal interest @12% to be paid if not settled within one month from application. In fact I filled some forms way back in 1997 itself and have been asking for Scheme Certificate which was not given. Am I eligible to get interest. I wrote a letter 20 days before to concerned office with copy to other PF offices and RPFC. No response till date.
Pl. help me how to get interest amount if I am eligible.
