Pre 1996 Retirees of Railway Accounts Department fficeffice" />
Denial of Benefit of Stepping up of Pension under the provision of 50% minimum of revised pay scale , after allotment of higher pay scales of pay for Railway Accounts Department.:-

Pre 1996 Retirees of Railway Accounts Department had been struggling for the Benefit of Stepping up of Pension under the provision of 50% minimum of revised pay scale , after allotment of higher pay scales of pay for Railway Accounts Department which was denied to them vide by the Department of Pension and pensioners’ Welfare vide OM No. 38/86/03-P &PW(A) dated 8-02-05.which was not revised inspite of Apex court judgment in CA No. 3174/06 of 30-11.06
Representations from affected retirees were falling on deaf ears & no one bothered even to reply to them. Even decision on a reference made by the Railway Board to DOP& PW was not coming out.

Resorted to RTI Act 2005 :- department of DOP & PW moved and informed vide their No38/86/03-P&PW(A) Dated 17-03-07that their earlier orders vide OM No. 38/86/03-P &PW(A) dated 8-02-05 are proposed to be revised.
Pensioners claim is at last established hundreds of Pre 1996 retirees of Railway’s Accounts department will benefit
Thanks to RTI.
