inspection of records / documents

i have asked CPIO for inspection of records/ document and taking out of Photo stat copies under RTI ACT-2005 but where as he allowed me only perusal of records with our allowing me to take photo stat copies of records .
Whether the action of CPIO is correct under RTI act?

Did you mention that you are willing to pay the fees for copies? After allowing you for inspection they cannot deny you copies, provided you are willing to pay for them as per the rules.

PIO is wrong. He has to provide copies after inspection of all papers which are not barred u/s 8.1 or 9. Please file first appeal. Also refer:
