Regarding Engineering college fee increment!
hello, I am a student of reputed engineering college in mumbai. Since, I have joined the college, my college has hiked the fees by telling that it is the decision of Shikshan Shulk Samiti (SSS). Initially i paid the amount as told, then after some days the asked us to again pay the difference. As a student we dont understand what exactly the samiti does and what are they hiking fees for? Next thing is that, i'm a direct second year student (after Diploma) and my fees is more than he other regular students (from 1st year). now what i dont understand is, is it right to ask for more fees and hike the fees regularly ever year ? Is it just to use the same resources as other students in class but still pay atleast 10000 more than them ? what exactly does shikshan shulk samiti does? can i file an RTI again college to know the reason for hike in fees at and difference in fees as compared to other students in class?

Re: Regarding Engineering college fee increment!
RTI will get you the information IF that is HELD on the record .Sponsorer
You may seek :
1. documents showing reasons for increase in fee
2. documents showing the reasons for different slab of fee for direct enterants .
3. certified copies of Rules showing .......
But I would suggest get in touch with a Consumer Activist of the area .

Better you prefer the RTI application before the PIO of the shikshan shulk samitigiving details of college. There is no reason for different fees for +2 entrants and post diploma entrants. If it is NMIMS, the structure of fee is different from normal engg colleges, since the course is MBA-Tech.
