    Procedures of First Appeal Hearing

    Resp. RTI Experts;

    I would like to know, that when called upon by the AA; for 1st hearing;
    What are the procedures of things to be kept in mind as an applicant.

    what documents we need to carry, weather we should sign on anything
    or is there a stipulated process of drawing minutes of the meeting.
    kindly let me know all the facts and details and things to be kept
    in mind - esp while dealing with a department - trying to conceal information.

    Regards.

    Re: Procedures of First Appeal Hearing

    I may inform you that in 90% cases, first appellate authority concurs with PIO. It is not fruitful. If you have submitted detailed first appeal, you may skip it, it being waste of time, money and energy. However, presence in second appeal may be effective.

    Still if you decide to attend hearing, you may carry all the papers relating to this RTI and orally represent what has been not covered in written first appeal or developments after filing first appeal. You can also submit written say during hearing or send it by post in advance of hearing.

    In either case, you should get decision of appellate authority latest by 50th day [including 5 days postal time] from date of receipt of first appeal by appellate authority.
