How to get Land Records through RTI?

Hello,

we are having 200 acres of land in Pune. but it is now acquired by one of the big institution in india lots of political parties involved in this scam.can we use RTI to get all the details of land?Land is owned by my great grand father and he is no more now.some important documents also disappeared from the tehasiladar karyalaya.we want to collect strong evidences to fight with them.please guide us

Yes, you can file RTI applications to all the agencies/departments that you think are holding the records.

You can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?


Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for Maharashtra.
