ICICI Home loan Issue

Dear RTI,

My dad took home loan from ICICI bank before 10 years which is in 2002.He don't even know on which papers he signed on with ICICI bank.Initially ICICI bank said that they are going to charge this loan at an interest rate of 9.75 %PA.but before 1 year when i went into icici bank customer care and asked in detail regarding my dads home loan they came up with new rate of interest which is 17% PA.I even took a home loan statement so please let me know whom to contact and show this statement to check my loans genuinity from the banks side.

ICICI is not a public authority. Hence you cannot invoke the provisions of RTI against ICICI.
You may approach RBI and seek the rate of interest chargeable by private banks including ICICI bank for Housing Loans since year 2002 onwards.
