how to go about getting informatin in my respect from the registered society hello every body,
i am from mumbai, and am member of the Registered society in mumbai.
i want to know , what is my...........
cost of tenement
cost of construction
proportiionate cost of free hold land
details of common item of use in the society
details of cost deposit receipts issued for the remaining cost of tenements other than common,
details of items related to common use items for which shares have been issued to me for proportionate cost of common use item.
what is the dues payble by me "as per adapted Bye-law
my interest in the society with details
details of general bodydecision taken in respect of (a0 common item and (b) non-common items
my standing in the books of account and my balances there in
my "standing abstract" of, in the prescribed register under the bye-law and under the act.
the accounting standard adapted by the society ?
is demanding advance maintenance same as actual maintenance? society demand maintenance on the first of month even for the upcoming month even before the month is over./
can demanding Advance Maintenance be debited to my account ? and under which accounting standard such thing can be done. it is normal agrred and accepted principle that " advances paid is to be adjusted against actual dues, and no interest can be collected from the member, for the amount demand as advance which member did not pay it as advance. intrest is chargeable on the actual amount remaining unpaid. a person can demand advance very many times but they are not legitimate dues payable and as such the advance demanded can not be entered in the books of account.
i have written to my society on very many occassion but they do not reply.
i have written to my relevant Cooperative Registrar, and they reply me to contact my society, so which is essentially going in circle.
SO MY QUESTION IS...
who should be approached for this under RTI ? and who would guide me there ? i want to abide by the adapted Bye-law.

Re: how to go about getting informatin in my respect from the registered society
our society does not receive any aid from government, so it is not public entity, but however since it falls under registrar of cooperative society, and registrar will give all information "which society files with them" so if society does not file the information i can not get it!!!!!
so how shoud one go about it? only through cooperative court?

If the society is registered, the registrar of societies have the maximum information.Just have a go.In one of my application for such society, registrar had to issue a show cause notice. So. if they didn't submit information & believe it they can be penalised too.
