How to get information regarding transaction made through Weston Union money transfer from overseas en cashed in India in favour of my family members

Only public authorities are covered under the RTI Act. If Western Union money transfer is a public authority, you can apply to them under RTI. But the information 'how much money a particular person got' is a purely personal information. Such information are exempted under Sec 8 (1)(j) of the Act. You may not be able to get it.

Western Union is not a Public Authority , so not obliged to entertain RTI Requests .
You can not get this information using RTI Act . Even otherwise this is private information and can not be disclosed by the Company to non-parties .

thanks a lot for the guidance suppose if the same thing is approached through Reserve Bank of India as all the matters of Bank transactions or money transfers or transactions comes under R.B.I than whether RBI is liable to give information or not
