Need Help: Passport

Hi,

I had given application for Renewal of my Passport on 29.02.12 after two Month i.e. on 29.04.12 Police verification and then after one and half month again I was called for Police Verification at the Police station were I was staying 6 years
before and afterwards on 20.06.12 when I checked the status online it shows Application has been closed, Please reapply quoting earlier File Number or contact PRO.When I went to make inquiry than simply told reply under the new systems and no other answer.

I want to know what about my Passport that I have given for renewal and the fees I paid .

Secondly after going through all the hardship and waiting for four month I was asked to reapply again.

I want to use RTI Act to know the exact reason and who should make responsible for this.

Please reply to me and help me out for using the RTI Act.

Just file a RTI application asking for "inspection of entire file related to application nr....submitted on.....".

When you inspect the file you will come to know the reason.

You can file a RTI application with the PIO. Details of PIO will be available on the website of the organisation/department, under the "RTI" link. Or simply call that office and ask "Who is the PIO in your office under the RTI Act 2005. I want to file a RTI application." ?


Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for the Centre.
