Threatening by reporting manager to a sales incharge to terminate from the job if not resigned

My friend has been working in a Fmcg organization in sales in east as a Territory sales representative/Officer/in- charge.He has been facing an acute problem recently. His senior asking for his resignation other wise they will terminate him from his job.
His job is in front line sales,he has to cover a territory and handle distributor/dealer of the company under his territory.In Apr'11 he has been transferred to a new territory where after two months he found that one of his distributor/dealer involved in some malpractices of false sales(mis-representation of sales data) to make some undue money i.e they did so for their own financial benefit.In the third month since he came to his new territory he informed this malpractices to his reporting manager,Area sales manger.The distributor /dealer used to such practices for last five years i.e four years prior his joining in the new territory.
Now Area manager framing charges against him.Please note that a mail from ASM's official mail ID divulging his knowledge about the fact. My friend has also mailed his ASM about other malpractices he found in his territory but no action has been taken by him.Instead he is asking him for resignation otherwise threatening him that they will terminate him within a day or two.
Can any one suggest or help him in this regard.
