Dear all, I would like to introduce myself as a new RTI India member. I am quite new to Mumbai and really disappointed at the scene of roads, encrochments and public services in general. Despite paying the highest amount of taxes, the kind of services provided by the civic authorities are in a very bad shape. For this reason I have joined this portal. I would be glad if someone can guide me regarding the procedure to ask for information on the bad roads and absence of street lights near Gandhi Nagar (Powai), on the road leading to JVLR Thanks and Regards, Shaily Verma      |

Great initiative, Shaily. Please go through the RTI Guide section for help on how to draft and file an RTI Application. You have to follow Maharashtra RTI rules which are also available in RTI Guide section. You may also be interested in following threads: Removal of encroachment, announcement made by authorities.
