problem with TATKAL PASSPORT PROCEDURE I got all my records cleared and worked to clear it for t past 3 months.. They initially told Birth Certificate is must for those who were born on or after 1989. I was born on 1989 and had my birth certificate tat i got in 2012 since name was not added in the old one. i had both old and new certificate during the visit on july end. They initially asked for it and later told its not valid for tatkal and you must go for normal scheme only. And they say you cant use the tatkal scheme for the next 10 years since i have not taken the BC on the year i was born. When approached the APO, he easily says he is not responsible for the mistake and for whatever we ask he simply answers casually he has no right to give a solution for it..
what i wanna know is
1. Is there a rule or law stated in passport act, like people with new birth certificates(ie the one that is got recently) cannot apply in tatkaal for the next 10years??
2. Does an APO have no rights in giving solution to the public? If he doesnt have then for what is he placed as the senior person responsible for the PSK??
