CPIO declined my request under sec. 8(1)(b) RTI simply saying that my claim case is subjudice in consumer court thats why they cant allow me to inspect my claim file.

Does anyone know how many years the police are rquired to keep FIRs?
Are FIRs kept at the local police station?
Are there dtstrict and state-wide registers of FIRs?
Is it possible to get copies of FIRs under the RTI?
