On 10 Feb 2009 I had sent the following e-mail to Commissioner of Police, Delhi on his official mail id requesting about their policy of Tenant verification for those people who are living in rented Govt. Accommodation.

The administration do not want to make system transparent and accountable. The CIC is also not specific to provide information. Everyday we are fearing that any amendment may be made in RTI Act 2005. This is principal of nature that everything emerge in the nature develop everyday but RTI act 2005 is not developing from day of birth but everyday there is possibility to cut the provisions. Now we need to develope a polotical party favouring transparency and accountability.

The RTI Act coming into effect from 2005 from the parliament with good intention to promote
good governance , transparency in adminstration , to combat the corruption
But the original act was enacted by parliament

The state governments are introducing new rules
several times , it will weak the strength of the act , what is the fate of the act we dont know , it is the freedom given to citizens

after coming into existance of RTI Act after 4 years also none of the government departments
are interested to catalog and index their records and files

As per RTI Act Under Section 4(1)(2)(3) of the
act The list of Catalog and Index of records and files maintained in the each governtment offices and they should declare suo-moto

The above provision of the act is not implemented in the government departments after 4 years of origin of the act

I have made three applications to CPIO of my employer (A Government of India Undertaking) on 27 April 08 which was received by him on 28 April 09. So far I have not received any decision. Giving the benefit of postal delays, I wish to file my first appeal on 22 June 09 (say after 20 days of expiry of 30 days by which decision of CPIO should have been communicated to me). Please advise me

Fundamental Rights and Duties are framed in our constituion to run the lives of citizens safe and peaceful in a system of Democracy.The Corruption is the only hindrance,for which we needed this RTI.So RTI is to check it.Individuals can use RTI,but not further.Who can apply this RTI to check the corruption?So there should be an institution to apply the RTI in the public interest All informatios collected by individuals should be farwarded to this institution if found weight...

As an RTI Act- user, I wonder what purpose the information would serve if it cannot be obtained within a reasonable time. Why PAs still want to hold back the info once the gateway in the form of RTI Act-2005 has been enacted.
I feel, the number of appeals is swelling because the PAs are not being penalized for denying info or for evading info to applicants.
Are we in the process of derailment of RTI Act-2005 sooner or latter?
