Searching and surfing thru the various sites on the web I landed on the official website of Indian Air Force.

This is one of the best sites of any Govt. Dept that I have come across in as many days. Having vast and most comprehensive details about the Indian Air Force.

IT contains all the information starting from the RTI Act 2005 The fees and cost, details of the CPIO's.

Information relating to the Legal and Disciplinary rules in the IAF, AF Regulations...

This is the recent information I managed thru the RTI Act on the status of payments by the Pay & Accts. Office CGHS, New Delhi, This may help a number of Senior citizens and Central Govt. pensioners in knowing why their payments for reimbursement of medical expenses are getting delayed for no fault of theirs and why do they have to run from pillar to post in the office of CGHS for getting their payments cleared.

Right To Information Act Is In Force Since 1995

The official web site of Director General Service Tax, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. Under the heading RTI Act have shown the RTI Act 2005 as the RTI Act 1995. One is not sure how can a department which is not aware about the date of enactment of Right To Information can provide correct and authentic information sought from it under the so called act.

The CIC (management) Regulations 2007 says that
"Before submitting an appeal or complaint to the Commission, the appellant or the complainant shall cause a copy of the appeal or complaint, as the case may be, to be served on the CPIO/PIO and the Appellate Authorities and shall submit a proof of such service to the Commission".

Is is mandatory for the appellant to send the copies of the appeal or complaint to the PIO and the AA before submitting the appeal to the CIC....
