I would like to inform you all that RTI India has new Blogging segment which is much stable and organised. It will further provide all our members tools to start their own blog.

The bad news is that we are not yet been able to transfer all the blogs made previously by our esteemed RTI India Bloggers.

We do hope to revive the earlier blog posts after server stability and new technologies.

Seeing a report on Makkal TV this evening reminded me of the tension Sandra Bullock goes through when she finds a bridge supposedly complete has a wide gap in between.
Today's report showed that Rs.1.5 crores had been sanctioned for mulberry cultivation, production of silkworms and construction of residential buildings for the workers/farmers/labourers.
However no funds were in reality distributed for the purposes defined and the land shown in the report was full of weeds, undergrowth...

What is the position of daughters when property is passed on for generations as inheritance from forefathers?
When a father passes away without leaving a will, insurance money goes to the spouse, and other property (movable/immovable) when self-earned gets divided equally among his spouse and children.
This is not so with inherited property. If such knowledge is made public through this forum, TV serials, etc. a lot of unwanted court suits can be avoided as also a lot of ill-will....

On the first anniversary of the RTI Act the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, had cautioned against the emergence of 'professional middlemen' in the use of this Act as has been seen in some countries and also encouragement of rivalry among stakeholders of this nascent law.

I have roamed around cyberea for quite a long time. Joined many community based groups. Started some groups myself. But the community feeling I have here in RTI India, which I joined just a few days ago, is a never before experience. As soon as I entered, I was welcomed cordially and there are so many helping hands for any kind of querries. It's amazing.
RTI is such a powerful instrument. In fact after going through the articles and threads in RTIIndia, I think it is a magic key...
