by , 04-30-2013 at 07:42 AM (Analysis of Indian Rubber Statistics)
I applied for the details of natural rubber export from India for the year 2006-07. They gave me 360 pages which contains blank pages, nil report, copies of covering letters etc. By compiling the data we can't tally the quantity of monthly export or total quantity of export by the exporters.

  5. Obstacles to RTI act and reasons of high pendency at CIC/ SICs

    by , 11-11-2012 at 03:20 PM
In my opinion simple implementation and increased uses by public of RTI tool may help bring great transparency and accountability in the working of government. While a very small population has used this tool, still we find high pendency of appeals at information commissions. Let’s analyse:

    1. No govt really interested to support Information commissions/ Transparency :

    • By way of allotting sufficient budget to Information commissions
    • And providing/ appointing

    by , 11-07-2012 at 01:04 PM
Human rights as a concept have evolved gradually over several centuries. They have been given a plurality of names, like rights of man, natural rights, human rights or Fundamental Rights.......

Every legal system India being no exception to it, recognizes the legitimacy of human rights in their social and legal conscience. These rights are overwhelmingly necessary for overall human welfare.

  7. Why few SIC's have stopped hearing appeals/ complaints, after SC order in namit Sharma Case?

    by , 10-30-2012 at 10:02 AM
Its strange that 8 out of 28 SICs have stopped hearing post SC decision dated 13.09.12, in Namit sharma case (civil writ 210/2012).

SIC- Rajasthan has lacked courtesy and decency to put its decision of stopnig hearings till further notice in public domain including there own website. PIOs from local and outside are visiting commission/ Jaipur on govt paid ( picnic) visit while appellants from outside are coming wasting their hard earned money and getting next date. ...

Lots has been in news and our knowledge about how RTI, is slowly becoming redundant due to various reasons like:
    1. Apathy of PIOs

    3. Act being silent on refusal of FAO to perform quasi judicial function of impartially deciding first appeal

    4. Meager section 4 disclosures by most of Public authorities, that too not being updated even once a year

    5. Increasing pendency at Information commissions due to various reasons (slow ...
