When i have check the passport status by online http://passportstatus.nic.in/. and the stauts shown is " FURNISH 2 PERSONAL PARTICULARS FORMS. DULY COMPLETED, INDICATING THE CORRECT PRESENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS".

The online application procedure for passport is really bad!! Appointments are being created illegally...... If this is the outcome, then wats the use of maintaining such a website? jz to feed some agents????

I have applied for passport in dec 2011 from Satara, Maharashtra. My police verification is also completed in Jan 2012 but still my application status is showing POLICE REPORT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. I contacted to police station in my area & they said that they have forwarded the report for further processing but still the status is same.
After some days, status changed to YOUR PERSONAL PARTICULARS FORMS HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE POLICE AUTHORITIES FOR VERIFICATION/REVERIFICATION ...

You are facing delay in getting passport due to various reasons: Right!

This happens during the passport issuing procedure. You may fill in the PP Form (please ask for the PP Form from the passport office which is i think free of cost) and submit it along with your photograph to the passport office. Hope you will get your passport within a month.

Try this process before going for anything else.

I have applied for fresh passport on 10.04.2012 on 25.05.2012 it showed application file no. & police file has not been recevied . however police file has been sent to passport office .
