Facing anti-RTI Information Commissioners?
Posted 06-09-2008 at 06:06 PM by jps50
Large number of appellants to CIC/SIC are not happy with the approach of ICs. I had drafted a letter from common man of India addressed to IC. This was placed in the meeting of ICs at the instance of Shri Wajahat Habibullah, Chief Information Commissioner, CIC, New Delhi in Nov.2007. I think our members could use it in their dealing with anti-RTI ICs. It may perhaps work.

jps50,
Excellent work! An honest person may follow the correct path after reading this very nice article.
I am curious how many appellants/complainants were able to change mindsets of anti RTI ICs. (It is not sarcastic, I do want to know it)Posted 09-04-2008 at 03:43 PM by rajub

This is an excellent idea, I believe this is a step towards informing the ANTI RTI ICs to change their mindset by now and mend their ways or soon face people's ire.

Many many thanks on behalf of those unfortunate appellants who were at the receiving end.
Could you please post what decision was taken in the meeting of ICs regarding this letter ?Posted 10-06-2008 at 08:07 AM by rajub
