How to apply under Right to Information for getting information regarding your Provident Fund!
There are large number of queries and problems regarding delay in settlement of Provident Fund dues by EPFO.
I am attaching format for filing RTI application for expediting settlement of dues.
For address of CPIO and payee of postal order, pl visit www.epfindia.com. If you cannot get these details, pl send applicatation to CPIO of nearest PF office with postal order favouring
"RPFC/APFC/CPFC of EPFO".
He is bound to redirect within five days of receipt by him to correct CPIO after referring your details and copy of application for withdrawal already submitted by you.

| |  As on today U cannot access your pf account on line or on phone. U need to apply to concerned pf office for balance in pf account. However, as per pf rules, employees should get statement of account every year from pf office through his employer. If U are not getting, pl complain in the letter addressed for balance of pf account. If no reply is received within 15/20 days, shoot rti application, by refering to my blog 'any thing pending with govt?' and other blogs/guide section on home page. |

| | Hi, I was working for an IT Firm in Nungambakkam, Chennai,TN and resigned on Nov 1st 2007. I have submitted the PF Withdrawl form to my employer while resigning. Till today i did not get my PF final settlement amount check. I have also filed a request on Grievance homepage, but did not get any response even after 1.5months. I am right now out of India, can you guide me the best way to my know my PF status. If i need to fill the form RTI_application_for_Provident_Fund.pdf, kindly suggest to which address i need to send the same. Many thanks in advance. |

| | U have to ascertain if and when your previous emplooyer has submitted your withdrawal appln to PF Office, where your account is maintained. Based on this U can file RTI appln. Pl visit EPFO and U can file appln with PF office nearest to your previous employer. Pl mention what ever details U have to locate the matter in relevant PF office. |
