please tell me wat should i do regarding my passport..my file has been transferred from bangalore to surta...as i am here from 2008 jan that is why they are not issuing passport to me....wat shud i do i have told them do enquiry where ever u want,but passport authiority are misguiding me now please wat should i do?

Do i have to send the APPLIATION form enclosed in envelope wityh al enclouse to the specified address or there is any other process ?

U can submit completed appln and fees in Head POst Office or office of Dist Superintendent of Police [who will complete police verification and send the appln with his report to RPO]or U can mail to RPO directly by regd post.

i had applied for passport in Aug 2007.2 times police verification had been done . i have visited there four times.they always say "we will do". Still i m unable to get passport.what shud i do.

I have applied for my son's passport 2 months back at regional passport office ,hyderabad.It is a minor's passport.
Police verification has been done about a month back but it has not been updated in the records of passport office

Since all passport offices all over India are under central govt, you can pay Rs.10 by postal order.

Sir, I have applied for my mom's passport in January 2008. And at present passport application status shows (Ready on 25-3-2008). But, we still have not got any passport. The file Number is N003389/2008 submitted at Jaipur passport office.

===== I went to delhi passport office (Bhikaji Cama PLACE, R.K.Puram, Delhi, Delhi 110066) 3 times.

At the end of my third visit PRO said "WE RECEIVED YOUR POLICE VERIFICATION REPORT , IT WAS CLEAR IN ALL RESPECTES. BUT WE LOST YOUR POLICE VERIFICATION REPORT IN OUR PASSPORT OFFICE".

LATER on I had given a letter to PRO regarding the same, he told that with in 15 days u vl receive your passport ( letter given on 22 Dec -08).

almost 2 moths are over.

Passport office not responding properly.

I need my passport urgently.

Pls suggest me what I have to do to get my passport.

Hi,
I had applied for new Passport on 23rd June'09 to RPO Mumbai. In the span of 3months from above date, i had 3 times filled up the "Personal Particular PP forms".
Fail to get the reason for "delay".

The pdf file "sample RTI application for Passport" fail to open.

why are we so lame in our country?
It took 4-5 months to get me a passport.
It's really a troublesome job to get a government document in a country like our's
Government servant's have forgot that they are servant to public.They behave as if people are thier servant. Why are we so backword is anything being done to get rid of such practice... please answer RTI

Directorate of Public Grievances
web site by clicking on
'Lodge Complaint/View Status'.
Please make sure to note the refernce number issued by system and password for future reference to visit the site again. You will get a meaning response within a month.

Many people are raising complaint for passport in Grievance Redress Mechanism in Government
which is not a correct forum for passport issues. Hope this info may help for many people suffering with delayed passport issues.

I ahd applied for my Passport in September,2009 at Kolkata Passport Office. My Passport File No. CAL A050013-09. Its one year and still I haven't received my passport. The regional passport office is neither giving me any information regarding the status of my passport nor are they closing my file so that I can reapply. Is there any way by which I can file for closing my current passport file and reapply under the Tatkal Scheme. Else, what happens if I again file freshly a passport application in the current scenario with my old file not closed already? Please Help RTI.
