Claiming compensation from the PIO

Today we have read in Times of India that the CIC admitted the claim of the appellant for compensation u/s 19 (8)(b). It is not new. I have already claimed and received a compensation of Rs.2000 from the PIO cum Executive Engineer, HUDA, Faridabad on 9.5.08 for not supplying information within stipulated period of 30 days, which was awarded by the Haryana State Information Commission, Chandigarh. It was published in Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran also. If you have determination and patience, you will get information and the compensation too. I am ready to help any body in this regard.

You have rightly said that CIC and SIC protect the PIOs deliberately. Reason being that they come from the same lobby.It is for the public to find out ways and means to fight this tendency.Posted 07-16-2008 at 11:08 PM by lotus408
