Thanks for inviting me to write.Recently Minister of State for Finance Sh Pawan KUmar Bansal,a local MP wrote to Chandigarh administeration on 21st April 2008 to review the decision of UT Administeration to hike in the fee for RTI Applicants.
The CIC in a land mark judgement has ordered the UT administerator to appoint an CPIO and Appellate Authority in his office.This judgement came on 13th May 2008.
THird thing I want to bring to the knowledge of all members that time and again I have raised the issue to publishing of correct Pro active disclosure under RTI provisions for UT administeration but surprisingly even reports through newspapers have not been received well and no updation have been done.I have filed complaint with CIC also but that takes a long time.
