Hi,

I have applied for passport in dec 2011 from Satara, Maharashtra. My police verification is also completed in Jan 2012 but still my application status is showing POLICE REPORT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. I contacted to police station in my area & they said that they have forwarded the report for further processing but still the status is same.
After some days, status changed to YOUR PERSONAL PARTICULARS FORMS HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE POLICE AUTHORITIES FOR VERIFICATION/REVERIFICATION ON* (DATE INDICATED BELOW). PLEASE CONTACT THE CONCERNED POLICE AUTHORITY AND GET THE REPORT EXPEDITED. A PASSPORT WILL BE ISSUED WITHIN 10 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THE CLEAR POLICE REPORT.

I again undergone the re verification on 15-May-12 but still the status is same as above. The police authority says they have sent my verification form to passport office but passport office says that please check with police station. This is really very frustrating experience for me. Kindly suggest me any other way to get my passport as early as possible.
