I just wanted to know that whether we can use RTI Act in finding out the Income Tax returns filed by some person.

I have been told by my friend that there was an article in Newspaper dated 7th January, 2009 stating that " CIC has given permission that if anyone asks for it under RTI Act the Income Tax department will have to hand over the Information."

If 'Yes' so what is the procedure for it..

Action against an Advocate.....

My sister-in-Law has decided to file a case against Education Officer due to the fault of the Officer which he has committed.

The Advocate looking after the case of my Sister in Law's failed to file the case from last five months even though each and every document is been handed to him. It seems that he was interested in cornering his fees and not in case and I suspect that he may have taken the money from the Officer (as he knows him).

I just wanted to know is there any way or can we approach someone or some Higher Authority through RTI Act, so that we can file a complaint against the Advocate we have hired so that he would follow a discipline approach towards his work and file the case....
