I have filed an RTI through CIC website online,signed the PDF copy and sent to the CIC through speed post.I did not pay any fee for that.The status is showing that *signed copy awaited*,where the spped post tracker is showing that it is delivered. Pls tell how to find the status of the application. Also i have few queries regarding my complaint.. 1)I have asked for adminstrative reasons due to which the process is kept on hold 2)The reasons why it is taking more than 1 year to complete the recruitement process. Can I ask the above information from Airports Authority of India?? Also,there is some reliable information that the recruitement process is going to be cancelled. Now my question is, any advocate can apply to seek information under RTI Act for his client ? & for the same cause ?

Where can I file writ against a CIC order?

1. Delhi. Where CIC is.
2. In local jurisdiction of CPIO.
3. In local jurisdiction where the applicant lives and from where application was posted and replies were received.

I would like to file writ in (3). But I am advised that write can be filed in (1) and (2) only. Is it correct?
Any caselaw in this regards will be helpful.

Case A filed with false documents. Police involved etc. Case A silently withdrawn. I want to get documents filed with Case A.

Several states prohibit release of court annexures via RTI and instead prefer applicants pay court fees and ask for certified copies using usual court procedures. Fair enough.

What if a case was withdrawn before evidence? Here, the documents have not officially been marked for evidence, so they can't be released under normal court copy application procedures. Will the RTI Act come in handy to obtain such copies?

My RTI request for inspection of electronic records has been approved and I have been invited to the office. My question is, how do I certify or independently attest this? In all likelihood, the public authority will destroy the computer records after inspection. What safeguards can I take? Who can I take along with me to witness the said dates? How do I get the above facts on record, i.e. attested or otherwise authenticated? This is at the fag end of a 2-yr old fight for human rights against corrupt officers. I am grateful for any help.
