consider this !! i mean this is the case in India and is the pattern followed almost globally...the JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM(JEE) is a competitive exam for entry into various engineering colleges of the country..the current average absorption in engineering is 15000(approx for west Bengal) i.e they rank the candidates from 1st to 15000th according to merit of course !!( at least that's what they say) now the total marks of the said exam is 300 for engineering (physics-100,chemistry-100,maths-100)the
Recently a very good friend of mine appeared in a competitive exam to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) conducted by the WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
The name of the exam was Assistant Engineer (Civil) recruitment examination 2011.
The exam was held on the 26th of February and the results for the written exam were out on the 25th of May.
My friend is a very consistent good student and has secured very good grades in the B.E
In almost every semester.
