karira replied to a thread Cic has dismissed my second appeal on supportless oral assurances of the respondent in Ask for RTI Query

CIC is the only authority to complain against any CPIO in a PA under the Central Govt. (including the CICs own). Just for your info - I have 6 second appeals and complaints against the CPIO of the CIC and hearing is fixed for 28 May 2013.

It should come up for hearing in the APIC within 3 or 4 months. Filing a RTI application will not serve any purpose because stock answer will be that "information not available".

In general, if you are not satisfied with the information provided by the CPIO, it is better to file a first appeal. Under RTI, the application is to be filed with CPIO only and he is duty bound to respond to it.

A charitable trust is not directly under RTI. However, you can get some information about the Trust by filing a RTI with the Charities Commissioner with whom the Trust is registered. It will be the Charities Commissioner of that state.
