Please post your RTI related success story in the section "post your RTI Success here" in the main forum. It will act as an encouragement to our members and guests.
I have no idea about that Act. Maybe the Government has framed some rules to carry out the Act. Also check the powers of the SDO. Maybe you can consult someone who knows that Act well - like a lawyer.

    Dear kariraji,

  3. Sir My friend completed her diploma at civil in the year of 2004 -8 but the thing is she also joined diploma in electronics in the year of 2006 simultaneously cause she was interested but she could not complete it. So she has only 1 certificate dip in civil. My question to u is now she wants to join a government job as junior engineer. Can she apply for any job government or private by using that civil diploma?

I just want to know weather she can use that certificate for jobs or not? if she gets a job and some one files a rti on her saying that her certificates are not valid because she studied 2diploma courses at the same time then she will suffer. I dont know about any law so i came hear to ask u. Sir please guide me what to say to her. :-)

  5. @brundaban_sahoo,

Please post your RTI related query in the main forum in the "Ask for a RTI query" section.
  6. Sir, I had posted a new thread in the non RTI issue " Fraudulent Developer " , have got a reply from Mr Prasad , i.e "Please post your RTI Application seeking copies/extracts of what ever you require and send the same to PIO, Maharashtra Co-op Bank of that Branch which is having that information ". My question is where should i post my RTI application , and who is the PIO of the Maharashtra Bank. I am currently based in Mumbai.
  7. Sir,
Good morning. Please guide me regarding the next course of action I can take pertaining to my case. I had alreay made the 2nd appeal to the CIC of the state for retrieving the medical case-sheet from the Government Hospital, where my child expired. As per the guidance of the CIC I had a meeting with the RTI official of the said Hospital but of no use. Again I was told the same thing that "Since the entire case-sheet is missing we can not provide you the informations sought by you". Mentioning the said statement a letter has been forwarded to the CIC and a copy to me by the said Hospital. Further I have told in the letter that " If I am not satisfied in the reply I have to appeal to the Appellate authority of the Hospital within 30 days". In this process already 1 year and 3 months passed. I suspect some mishandling in this case. What should be my next course of action? Please guide me.
  8. @sunaam

RTI will only help you in getting "information" - the copies of your answer scripts (in this case).
If the University has prescribed a reevaluation process, you can then use that to get re evaluation.
Otherwise the only solution is to contact a lawyer and approach court.
  9. Sir i am a student of BBA Hotel Management , SHTM Department , University of Jammu . According to my result of 5th semester , i have been declared re-appear in two subjects . There is no re-evaluation process in the statue of our course , so i have filed RTI and i have been told that i'll be getting the photocopy of my answer sheets maximum by 1 month . My inquiry to u is that if there is any process of getting the answer sheets re-evaluated as there is no re-evaluation process in my course . Sir RTI would be of no use to me if i'll only be getting the photocopies of answer sheets . Please advice me a way to get the answer sheets re-evaluated as i have performed well enough to pass in the examination
  10. @digal,

Can you please post this in the "Site Feedback" section of the forum. The Admin will look into it immediately.

As per email received from Mr Sanjay Shirodkar (Maharashtra)

Dear ALL flat owners

Greetings!

I had been to sales tax dept today and got to know,

1. about attached circular which says about MVAT has to pay by developer. It does not say that developer has to charge from flat owner and then pay to Sales Tax dept.
2. more over this tax on developer is on their profit. (which they already must have made while selling the flat.

RTI Application for pending IT Refund

by karira on 03-17-2009 at 02:23 PM
In view of several CPIO's (assessing officers) of the IT Department denying information under some sections of the RTI Act, attached is the new format for RTI Application for pending IT refunds.

1. The RTI Application has to be addressed to the CPIO, who is the same as your assessing officer (ITO/AC) of your ward/circle where you filed your IT return, in which you claimed refund.
2. File separate RTI applications for different years - one application for each year
3. As

The famous 2' X 2' Board....

All the time we hear and talk about corruption, corruption and more corruption. Recently I had the opportunity to put various Authorities to test, as far as their sincerity to fight corruption.

A family member needed to get a mutation of his property from the local civic authorities. A particular file had to retrieved from the record room. Now, this is a PA where I am fairly well known, since I have not only filed several RTI applications, but have also trained their PIO's and done
