    Goa to probe RTI activist Shetye's activities as a government servant and his assets

    195 cases in five years, 459 leave applications. I am wondering when he was working for the government: Parrikar

    Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Friday announced four separate official inquiries into the activities of Right to Information(RTI) activist and government employee Kashinath Shetye. Mr. Shetye, a junior engineer in the State Electricity Department, has over the last several years has filed 195 litigations against government agencies and officials over environment, corruption,-related issues and about mis-governance.

    Goa Congress comes out in support of RTI activist Kashinath Shetye facing probe

    On Friday, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told the Assembly an ACB inquiry would be conducted against Shetye within eight days. Parrikar told the House Shetye had filed 195 cases against the government in the last five years

    The Congress in Goa has come out in support of an RTI activist, against whom the state government has ordered an inquiry. The Opposition party slammed the BJP-led government for ordering an inquiry into the assets of the activist, Kashinath Shetye, and said he should have been instead rewarded for exposing “misdeeds” of the ruling coalition.
