Thread: Malapropism in the Act?

  1. Malapropism in the Act?

I checked three different editions of the Act and found that "malafidely" a non-existing word has crept into the Act. The correct expression is mala fide a phrase which serves as both adjective and adverb. You can't add "-ly" to make it appear like an adverb. Has this wrong usage been corrected?

Negligency is also very important to make the public authorities accountable. Actually if we replace the word malafidely with negligence it will more fruitfull like so many public authorities are avoiding correspondence even under RTI. Accountability must be fixed to whom we are paying remuneration from Consolidated fund of India.
