Crackdown in Haryana for refusing information

HARYANA CHIEF Information Commissioner G. Madhvan said on Friday that the commission has recommended departmental action in 80 cases where officials were found guilty of not providing information sought by applicants.

Madhvan said this after releasing book on Right to Information Act-2005 (RTI) written by Gurgaon Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhe Singh Yadav on Friday. Madhvan said the book would be of great help to the readers in understanding the aim of RTI for which it was enacted by the Parliament.

He said these books would be helpful in removing apprehensions and misconceptions in people's mind about the RTI Act.
