Now a days some Public Information Officers are using a technique to avoid giving embarassing information to information seekers.They say that since the information is voluminous the applicant may come and inspect the files. When the applicant goes in person what treatment that person will get is quite obvious. That will be a completely hostile condition. How can one avoid such a situation? Suggestions please.

As Mr.Karira has brought out in this forum, Right to Information include " Inspection " . If one is confronted with hostile situations amounting to "obstructing in any manner in obtaining the information by inspection, the only solution is to go for First Appeal
