Parliament replica at BSP function runs into controversy

Agra, April 17
The replica of the Parliament House built on the occasion of birth anniversary celebrations of Bhim Rao Ambedkar by the Bahujan Samaj Party has run into controversy after a lawyer sought information under the RTI Act from the District Magistrate over using a national emblem for decorating purposes.

Advocate Shialraj Singh has also questioned the use of BSP party flag on the replica of the Parliament building.

“The administration must reply and should mention clearly the rules and regulations under which the permission was issued to a private organisation, Bhim Nagari Kendriya Ayojan Samiti for the construction of replica of Parliament House,” Singh said.

He has also threatened to move High Court if the administration fails to provide clear answers within a stipulated time.
